​Gilbert K. Elisa is a passionate explorer, thinker, photographer, writer, musician, and humanitarian. When he is not in the United States, he is sharing his passions across the globe. He has traveled to Nairobi, Kenya, explored the continent of India, as well as the cities of Cairo and Alexandria, Egypt. Mr. Elisa has provided humanitarian support to orphanages in the Kibera slums of Nairobi, Kenya. Along with this, settling in "Gods Own Country" also known as Kerala, India, Mr. Elisa has worked with local students to initiate a "pen program" where all participating families were able to receive much needed school supplies. Ironically enough, this event was documented by local journalists and printed in "The Hindu" periodicals on Gandhi's birthday, captioned as "In the Spirit of Giving". Locally, Gilbert King Elisa regularly participates in mentorship programs as well as exhibits his worldly photography pieces throughout New York City. Creating the "Colors of Monsoons Season" in 2008, the City College of New York as well as Brooklyn College was pleased to host this photographic exhibition specifically directed toward educating and promoting global cultural awareness. Mr. Elisa has been featured in National Geographic Everyday Explorers as well as CurateNYC.org. As a graduate of literature and a keen observer of his environment, Mr. Elisa keeps his writing close to his heart. Writing in a number of genres, poetry being his first muse, Gilbert writes from observation as well as of the human experience. His work has been published in The Promethean literature books. In addition to this, keeping in mind Gilberts' humanitarian nature, Mr. Elisa has leads writing workshops where other writers are free to participate and critique each other's writing. Last but not least, Gilbert King Elisa's passion for writing and life naturally correlates with his love of music and exquisite lyrical composition.
